I’m Only Me

Who allowed you to play god? Who allowed you to determine my worth? Who gave you the backwards privilege to take what wasn’t yours and to leave me with nothing? I stopped believing in god when you referred to yourself as him. God sent you to do his dirty work, you said. I was your dirty work, you said. I wasn’t allowed to be anyone other than myself. But you were allowed to play god.
